PRESENT CONTINUOUS

We use the PRESENT CONTINUOUS to express that something is happening at the moment we are speaking.

 

FORM

 

SUBJECT + VERB TO BE + -ING VERB

 

                I          AM         WRITING

 

Examples: I am playing football.    He is studying now.   We are running.

 

PRESENT CONTINUOUS

The Present Continuous is used for actions that are happening around the present time. For example, "I am studying English" means that I am in the process of studying English now.
